About The Position

Join a mission-critical team in Littleton, CO as an Oracle Database Administrator, supporting highly classified Department of Defense programs. This is a 6-12 month W2 contract (with potential extension) offering hands-on experience with advanced Oracle database technologies. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of databases that enable national security operations. This is an onsite position for individuals with active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance and a Security+ certification.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Security+ Certification
  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA
  • Strong expertise with Oracle database administration, performance tuning, patching, and upgrades
  • Experience managing SQL databases and supporting database outages
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate solutions

  • Familiarity with Redis, JDBC, Hibernate
  • Experience in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • High availability production database management

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, maintenance, and administration of multiple secure Oracle database environments
  • Proactively monitor and optimize database performance, security, and utilization
  • Implement database tuning, upgrades, patches, and security in compliance with INFOSEC and IA policies (e.g., ICD503)
  • Collaborate on hardware/software installations and recommend solutions aligned with program objectives
  • Support data copies, data cleanup, query tuning, and troubleshooting of complex issues
  • Drive projects for data acquisition, processing, and integration with Big Data platforms
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improved data management
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation as required
  • Engage with end-users and stakeholders to deliver innovative, effective database solutions
