About The Position

Apps Associates is seeking a seasoned Managing Principal Consultant to spearhead global implementation projects within their Oracle Financials Consulting Team in North America. This role specializes in Oracle Cloud Financials, offering strategic guidance on business processes and design to a diverse global clientele. The ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and outstanding communication abilities to ensure the delivery of top-notch solutions and foster strong client relationships. This position offers opportunities for expanding expertise, mentoring consulting resources, and leading initiatives to refine the consulting toolkit for enhanced efficiency and delivery excellence.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, CM, Assets, Financial Reporting), including a deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Financials applications and their functionalities.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Cloud technologies, with the ability to design and implement end-to-end financial system architectures.
  • Strong consulting background with experience leading global implementation projects and providing guidance on Oracle Financials best practices.
  • Deep understanding of financial business processes and industry-specific requirements, enabling effective collaboration with clients to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive projects forward, delegate tasks, and mentor consulting resources.
  • Hands-on implementation experience with Oracle Cloud Financials applications (GL, AR, AP, FA, CE) across at least 7 end-to-end projects.
  • Strong understanding of financial business processes, accounting principles, and industry standards.
  • Expertise in developing Chart of Accounts, Enterprise Structure, and Trading Community Architecture.
  • Experience collaborating with HCM, SCM, and PPM leads for financial application integrations.
  • Experience managing complex client engagements and leading distributed onshore and offshore consulting teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments within a structured implementation methodology.
  • Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing consulting resources in a client-facing consulting environment.
  • Experience serving as a line manager or practice lead with responsibility for resource allocation, utilization, performance management, and career development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives and manage multiple concurrent Oracle Financials engagements.
  • Strong executive presence with experience advising C-level stakeholders on finance transformation strategies and organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.

Responsibilities

  • Own Oracle Financials solution definition, delivery, and overall practice leadership for Financials consulting engagements.
  • Partner with clients to understand business requirements, identify pain points, and deliver scalable Oracle Cloud solutions aligned to business objectives.
  • Design comprehensive financial system architectures utilizing Oracle Financials applications such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Assets, Lease Accounting, Revenue Management, Accounting Hub, and Financial Reporting.
  • Provide expert guidance on Oracle Financials best practices and lead global design workshops and stakeholder presentations to demonstrate solution capabilities and gather requirements.
  • Lead global implementation projects, overseeing business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design and flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and support procedures for Oracle ERP solutions.
  • Develop as-is and to-be business process flows utilizing Oracle best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients to design tailored solutions to business challenges while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, developers, and project managers, to ensure successful delivery of integrated financial solutions within project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including Requirements, FIT/GAP Analysis, KDDs, Process Flows, Data Conversion Strategy, and Functional Design Specifications.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Financials consulting resources, including offshore and junior team members.
  • Serve as a people manager for Financials consulting resources, including performance management, career development, resource planning, and team development initiatives.
  • Drive delivery excellence by establishing implementation standards, best practices, and quality assurance across Oracle Financials engagements.
  • Support business development and practice growth initiatives, including proposal development, solution positioning, and expansion of existing client relationships.
