About The Position

As an Oracle Cloud Architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. This role involves using cloud architecture skills to improve mission-critical applications and products by developing cloud-based solutions for challenging national problems. You will use the latest cloud technologies to improve client environments, work with industry leaders to inform strategy and design, and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You will recommend tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You will work with your team to help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud and grow your skills in areas like AI while developing critical systems for the defense industry.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software with a cloud-first development approach
5+ years of experience with OCI enterprise solutions
3+ years of experience with OCI services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including Compute, Autonomous Database, Exadata Database, security policies, security groups, and network security
3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, or CloudFormation
Experience working with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
Experience creating advanced OCI solutions
Experience developing and deploying production geospatial solutions from concept to O & M
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
Experience designing solutions to enable migration from AWS to OCI
Experience with OCI AI, ML and LLM offerings
Experience designing OCI solutions optimized for geospatial workloads
Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments
Experience with system design, including scalability and reliability
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
OCI Certifications such as OCI Architect or OCI Developer Certifications
IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certifications
