This job ensures availability of equipment and supplies for endoscopy / surgical procedures; exhibits skills to competently scrub for surgical procedures and assist for endoscopy procedures; and performs other duties as assigned by the RN. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The position also requires maintaining clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials, and adapting to rapid changes in the department due to unit census, patient acuity, and resource availability. Compliance with federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements is also a key aspect of the role.
