About The Position

Under general supervision, to provide technical services, create and maintain an aseptic environment in compliance with the standards of the department.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• BLS certification required through AHA.
• Knowledge of hospital established policies quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of pre-operative planning and aseptic technique.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in the medical field preferred or specialized vocational training.
• Six months to one year experience preferred in a surgical setting in a surgical facility or from Armed Service.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services.

• Organize and prepare appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment.
• Identify the surgical instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
