About The Position

Join the Surgical Services Team at BJC Healthcare - West County Hospital. The role supports medical and nursing staff in the operating room during the pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases. Duties include room turnover, cleaning and stocking supplies and equipment, and transporting patients. The position is full time, Monday through Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., with no call. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No experience required.
• No supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients promptly and safely, with proper documentation.
• Assist with operating-room turnover by gathering necessary equipment and helping gather and remove soiled trash, linen, and biohazardous waste.
• Assist with positioning and prepping patients.
• Obtain blood and blood products, supplies, equipment, and instruments as needed during procedures.
• Perform housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
