About The Position
The OR Registered Nurse delivers high-quality, patient-centered perioperative nursing care in a dynamic surgical environment. This position requires recent operating room experience, including circulating and/or scrub responsibilities, and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary surgical team. Self/preferential scheduling is available and posted four weeks in advance to promote work-life balance and schedule predictability.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR RN experience (scrub and/or circulating)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- RN Diploma or equivalent nursing education

Responsibilities
- Perform preoperative patient assessments
- Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and perioperative care
- Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy, medication administration, and surgical site verification
- Participate in surgical time-outs, debriefings, and universal protocols
- Identify and respond to patient emergencies
- Deliver evidence-based, high-quality perioperative nursing care
- Monitor and document patient condition throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary team members
- Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgment to ensure safe patient outcomes
