About The Position

The OR Nurse Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for Surgical Services, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. This role is responsible for daily operations, staffing, workflow coordination, and clinical quality while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The Manager provides oversight for:

Operating Room (OR)
Central Sterile Processing
Anesthesia Services
First Assist Team

The position manages approximately 50 direct reports and 4–5 Coordinators and works closely with Surgical Services leadership and peer department managers (e.g., PACU, Endoscopy, Same Day Surgery).

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or RN Diploma – Required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience – Required
• Prior clinical leadership experience required (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Lead experience accepted)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred

Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and outcomes
• Monitor nursing care delivery and ensure adherence to clinical standards
