About The Position

A healthcare facility in Craig, Colorado is seeking a skilled CT/MRI Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role is responsible for performing MRI and CT procedures, ensuring precise image acquisition, maintaining patient safety, and providing a positive patient experience. The technologist works collaboratively with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) with CT and MRI credentials
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for driving-related duties, if applicable)
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Completion of pre-employment health requirements prior to start date

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI expertise
  • Cross-training in additional modalities such as DEXA or Mammography preferred
  • Experience with PACS, RIS/HIS, and electronic medical records preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and MRI examinations in accordance with established imaging protocols
  • Demonstrate proficiency in X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR imaging procedures
  • Accurately document procedures and supply charges in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Follow radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
  • Troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and coordinate service support when needed
  • Assist with training and cross-training of imaging staff
  • Maintain imaging inventory, order supplies, and complete related clerical tasks
  • Maintain flexibility for call coverage, overtime, and holiday shifts as required
  • Educate patients regarding imaging procedures and equipment
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and cooperation during examinations
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
  • Adhere to organizational policies, including infection control, dress code, and risk management standards
  • Complete required annual education, training, and competency updates
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement and performance initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations
