About The Position

The Breckenridge Ambulatory Surgery Center is a brand new facility located in a premier location near the hospital on Breckenridge Lane containing 6 OR suites and 1 procedure room. This addition to the Baptist Health system provides a state of the art free standing out patient surgery facility achieving high efficiency for surgeons and the best experience for patients. Surgical specialties include urology, gynecology, plastic surgery, oculoplasty, general surgery, and pain management. Perioperative experience is required.

Requirements

• Active Kentucky License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS Required within 90 days of Hire
• Prior perioperative experience required.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process for each assigned to his/her care regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) and is responsible for the patient’s care consistent with the Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies and procedures.
• Promotes positive patient outcomes and the delivery of quality patient care.
• Initiates change through active involvement in the unit-based and hospital shared governance councils while contributing to a healthy professional practice environment.
• Utilizes the Nursing Process as the framework for providing care.
• Collaborates with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Serves as a role model through actively participating in the process of continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
