Requirements

• Oregon RN License
• RNFA certification/program completion from an AORN-recognized program.
• Minimum 2 years of peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience in a Kaiser Permanente OR, OR 1 year of RNFA experience outside or within KP.
• Current BLS certification.
• OR nursing experience with strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique.
• Must maintain required RN licensure and CNOR continuing education requirements.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of RNFA experience.
• CRNFA certification.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.
• Provide surgical exposure, tissue handling, suturing, hemostasis, and instrumentation support.
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, draping, and transfer.
• Support anesthesia during induction and participate in surgical time-outs.
• Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical field.
• Assist with room setup, turnover, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Provide appropriate pre- and post-operative patient care and education.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, circulating nurses, scrub staff, and other clinical teams.
• Participate in regional on-call rotation for elective, urgent, and emergent cases.
