About The Position

This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day. In this role, the OR/PACU Medical Assistant will assist as a scrub technician in the OR, utilize proper sterile and aseptic technique and setup equipment, plan for and prepare rooms for all procedures, utilize the autoclave and clean per protocol, provide assistance to the physician during procedures, and comfort patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions and providing support.

Requirements

High school diploma
Completion of a formal medical assistant or scrub tech program or 3 years of experience
Current BLS certification
Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
Knowledge of office procedure and office machines (i.e. computer, fax, copier, etc.)
Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgement on a consistent basis
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to function as a team player

Responsibilities
