Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital is seeking an OR Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to administer patient care in an area where patients have advanced illness or injury requiring timely, intense, and complex care to stabilize and support their medical condition. These areas require a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio and highly trained team members with advanced skills. The APH Surgery Department works in conjunction with Pre-Admission Testing, the Pre-Anesthesia Care Area, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit, as well as Sterile Supply and the Sterile Processing Department. The operating room is defined as the space and equipment necessary for the successful completion of surgical procedures. The APH Surgery Department, in conjunction with Anesthesia Services, offers perioperative care to children, both inpatient and outpatient, who meet specific anesthesia physical status criteria. The major services include elective, urgent, and emergent surgical procedures for pediatric patients, treating those who receive local, general, monitored anesthesia care, or regional anesthesia. Pediatric patients are accepted and approved by the attending surgeon and anesthesiologist. For patients over 21 years of age, a panel reviews patient history and surgical needs for appropriate admission to APH. The surgery department staff is scheduled to provide flexible nursing care and services for elective scheduled, STAT NOW, emergent, and urgent cases around the clock, including trauma cases 24/7.
