OR Circulator - Medical Assistant (Bilingual)
About The Position
Mia Aesthetics is hiring a bilingual OR Circulator responsible for the direct and indirect provision of patient care in the operating room. The role is accountable for ongoing documentation of all components of medical care delivered in perioperative and outpatient settings. The position involves preparing and restocking surgery suites, monitoring supplies and equipment, operating medical equipment, collaborating with surgical and clinical teams, documenting intraoperative information, and maintaining safe, clean, and sanitary operating rooms. Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least 1 year of related experience.
- Maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across various audiences.
- Superior listening skills and ability to quickly comprehend instructions in emergency situations.
- Ability to synthesize patient data and implement an appropriate action plan.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surgery suites by gathering, organizing, and preparing surgical supplies and equipment for procedures.
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and equipment and notify appropriate individuals when supplies are needed.
- Operate medical equipment and perform technical skills according to policies and standards of care; seek assistance when appropriate.
- Restock surgery suites with appropriate supplies after procedures have ended for the day.
- Collaborate with surgical and clinical team members to develop coordinated outcomes and interventions regarding patient progress and care.
- Accurately and concisely record patient intraoperative information in each patient's medical chart.
- Ensure operating rooms are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner at all times.
- Follow established HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Take responsibility for attendance and timely completion of mandatory training programs, unit-specific requirements such as BLS, and unit meetings.
