About The Position
The UW MEDICAL CENTER – NORTHWEST - OPERATING ROOMS have an outstanding opportunity for an OR Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting with room turnover, housekeeping duties in the assigned area of the OR, transportation of patients, and transport of specimens.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification within the State of Washington
- Prior intraoperative experience as an aide or orderly
- Hospital housekeeping experience
Responsibilities
- Assist in cleaning and preparing surgical suite
- Assist in establishing par levels for ancillary supplies
- Transport, and assist with repositioning and/or transfer of patients
- Ensure safety of the patient in the environment (bed positioning and rails, etc.)
- Deliver specimens and transports blood products
