About The Position
The UW MEDICAL CENTER – NORTHWEST - OPERATING ROOMS have an outstanding opportunity for an OR Assistant. This position is Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week, on the Day Shift (0900-1730). The OR Assistant will be responsible for assisting with room turnover, housekeeping duties in the assigned area of the OR, transportation of patients, and transport of specimens.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification within the State of Washington
- Prior intraoperative experience as an aide or orderly
- Hospital housekeeping experience
Responsibilities
- Assist in cleaning and preparing surgical suite
- Assist in establishing par levels for ancillary supplies
- Transport, and assist with repositioning and/or transfer of patients
- Ensure safety of the patient in the environment (bed positioning and rails, etc.)
- Deliver specimens and transports blood products
