About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time OR Advanced Modality Technologist for Barnes Jewish Hospital - Main Floor Plaza West Tower- General Radiology (St. Louis, MO). This role involves operating C-Arms and O-Arms in the operating room, using portable x-ray machines for intraoperative films or closures, and occasionally using Radlink. The position may also require assisting with coverage for the Portable x-ray team and/or ED x-ray team. The team is described as warm and welcoming.

Requirements

Associate degree or higher in related field
Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
Associate or Trade School Equi
IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
RTR,CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS,RCES

Nice To Haves

1yr of Operating Room (C-arm) experience (highly preferred)
C-Arm, Level 1 or 2 trauma experience and/or OR experience (preferred)
<2 years experience
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Intravenous Therapy

Responsibilities

Operate C-Arms and O-Arms in the operating room
Use portable x-ray machines to obtain films for intraops or closures in the operating room
Occasionally use Radlink in the operating room
Assist in providing coverage to Portable x-ray team and/or ED x-ray team when needed
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
