About The Position

Join FYidoctors for locum coverage in our Miramichi, NB clinic as a Full-Time Optometrist Mondays to Fridays for the months of May, June, and the first two weeks of July. We will also consider part-time coverage. Our recently renovated clinic offers a loyal patient base spanning all age groups. We are the largest provider of Optometry services locally and a referral center for local medical practitioners and therapeutic or emergency services. This busy location includes a large therapeutic practice as well as primary care eye exams, low vision, CL fitting, pre-and-post laser patient care, and emergency services. We also have an exceptionally good relationship with local ophthalmologists.

Requirements

• Full-Time Optometrist coverage for May, June, and the first two weeks of July.
• Willingness to consider part-time coverage.
• Must practice from their own exam lane.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Zeiss 5000 OCT with anterior segment.
• Experience with Tonoref III 4-in-1 diagnostic medical device.
• Experience with Optomap.
• Experience with Humphrey Visual Field.
• Experience with FDT.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-service optometry care to a diverse patient base.
• Conduct primary care eye exams.
• Perform low vision assessments.
• Fit contact lenses.
• Manage pre- and post-laser patient care.
• Provide emergency eye services.
• Serve as a referral center for local medical practitioners.
