About The Position

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to provide care in a structured, outpatient clinic-based environment in New Bern/Wilmington, NC. This is a clinic-based role where you’ll function as an extension of the clinical team within a coordinated, community-focused setting serving senior populations. This opportunity offers flexibility and professional support without the overhead and administrative burden of running your own practice. The setting operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model with full-time on-site clinic staff, organized scheduling and patient flow, a coordinated, team-based care environment, and a value-based model focused on seniors. CMC manages equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics, allowing the optometrist to focus entirely on delivering high-quality vision care. This is not a high-volume retail model; optometrists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent Comprehensive Mobile Care directly within each partner location, emphasizing quality over volume, consistency and predictability, administrative and logistical support, long-term clinic partnerships, and ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
• Active NC optometry license
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
• Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope of practice
• Prescribe corrective lenses and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
• Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
• Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting
