About The Position
The IMA Group partners with licensed Optometrists to perform non-diagnostic, evaluation-only exams for individuals applying for disability and related benefits. This is a referral-based opportunity designed for providers with their own office who want flexible, supplemental income. The role involves conducting focused eye exams (visual acuity, visual fields, etc.), evaluating vision impairment for documentation purposes (not diagnosis or treatment), and completing clear, objective medical reports.
Requirements
- Active OD, MD, or DO license
- Established office/practice required
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with report writing
Responsibilities
- Conduct focused eye exams (visual acuity, visual fields, etc.)
- Evaluate vision impairment for documentation purposes (not diagnosis or treatment)
- Complete clear, objective medical reports
