This flexible fill-in opportunity for an Optometrist is at San Ramon Family Optometry, located in San Ramon, California. This role is ideal for an OD who enjoys providing high-quality patient care in an established private practice setting while maintaining a flexible schedule. San Ramon Family Optometry was established in 1989 and purchased by Dr. Doris H. Wong, O.D., in 2016. For over 30 years, this practice has provided full-service optometry to families and residents in San Ramon, Danville, Dublin, and the East Bay region of all ages, insurances, and visual/medical diagnoses. The dedicated Optometric team provides comprehensive eye care and specializes in contact lenses, dry eye treatment, myopia management, ocular diseases, and surgical co-management. Centrally located in The Market Place Shopping Center, the practice is easily accessible from I-680, I-580, and within walking distance to a stunning, new city center. To help maintain the gold-standard service that San Ramon Family Optometry patients know and expect, Dr. Wong is looking for a reliable fill-in provider to support the highly trained staff of 19 employees and 5 providers when coverage is needed. This private practice is fully suited with state-of-the-art optical exam technology that includes an Optomap Digital Retinal Imaging System, optical coherence tomography, macular risk lab test, Zeiss digital phoropter, and specialized examination tests for computer users. Using cloud-based software, this office operates in a paperless environment that enables online appointment scheduling and office communications are offered via text messaging. Patients can enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of eyewear from the optical boutique—plus the practice carries over 1000 frames and an onsite finishing laboratory is ready to conveniently service patients. San Ramon Family Optometry is seeking a fill-in Optometrist who is passionate about providing personalized, individualized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care for patients. In this role, you will provide full-scope optometry, including comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating eye conditions, prescribing glasses and contact lenses, and referring patients to specialists when medically necessary. This is a great opportunity to support a busy, well-established practice without the commitment of a full-time schedule. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, compassion for patient health and safety, and the ability to quickly integrate into an established practice flow. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and comfortable collaborating with an experienced doctor and support team. While this is currently a fill-in opportunity, a part-time or full-time position may open up for the right candidate who is a strong fit with the team culture.
