About The Position
Ideal Eye is seeking a full-time floating Optometrist to support established practices across North Austin, Texas. This flexible opportunity is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, values patient-centered care, and wants to make a meaningful impact in multiple communities. New graduates are welcome, and the practice is looking to fill this role as soon as possible. Ideal Eye is a well-known, multi-location practice with 11 locations across the Greater Austin area. The team is committed to delivering an exceptional eye care experience from the moment each patient enters the office, offering comprehensive eye exams, specialty contact lenses, and diagnosis and treatment for ocular disease in a welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D., including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
- 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope optometric care to patients of all ages and support five Ideal Eye practices: Hewitt Vision in Hewitt, Belton Vision in Belton, Wildflower in Temple, Killeen Vision in Killeen, and Cove Vision in Copperas Cove.
- Perform comprehensive eye exams.
- Care for patients with diverse visual and medical needs.
- Educate patients about their ocular health.
- Recommend vision-enhancing products.
- Help ensure a consistent, high-quality patient experience across five locations.
