About The Position
Matrix Providers is seeking qualified optometrists to join our provider network as an Independent Contractor for disability exams. This role involves no treatment or prescribing of medications. You must have your own office and an active and unrestricted license. As a clinician, you will apply your expertise in the assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of eye conditions to support a Veteran's disability claim. You will act as a certified medical disability examiner, gathering and synthesizing clinical evidence through medical and military record review, diagnostic testing, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations. Your role is to develop a medical opinion on the likelihood that a Veteran's condition is related to their military service, ensuring claims are heard and processed by the VBA.
Requirements
- Doctorate Degree in Optometry or Ophthalmology
- Active and unrestricted license
- Updated resume with minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- Own Malpractice Insurance
- Medical License
