About The Position

The Optometrist is responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and management of visual and ocular conditions. This role focuses on promoting eye health, detecting vision problems and eye diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses or treatment plans to improve patients' quality of life. The Optometrist works collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure a high standard of patient care, accurate documentation, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities also include educating patients on eye health, preventive care, and proper use of prescribed treatments or eyewear.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution
• Valid state optometry license
• Proficiency in performing comprehensive eye examinations
• Knowledge of diagnostic techniques for visual and ocular conditions
• Ability to diagnose, treat, and manage eye diseases and vision problems
• Skill in prescribing corrective lenses and treatment plans
• Strong understanding of patient education principles related to eye health
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and documentation standards
