About The Position

DocStar Medical Partners is seeking an Optometrist for a locum tenens opportunity at an FQHC facility in California. This assignment is for 60-90 days, with a potential for temporary billing privileges to expedite the start date. The role involves general eye exams, glasses, and contact lens fittings. The optometrist will be supported by an optician and assistants on-site and will see an average of 18-20 patients per day, with an estimated 10-20% no-show rate. The position requires the ability to work independently and see patients aged 8 and older, including the pediatric population. All patients are established within the Camarena Health system and have medical backgrounds with charts available for review.

Requirements

• Active CA license
• Relevant experience and skill set
• Must be confident and able to work solo

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Athena EMR
• Experience in an FQHC setting
