About The Position

Visionworks Doctors of Optometry is seeking an experienced and state-licensed Optometrist to lead and coach quality of care and the patient experience in their new market in California. This role is for a Doctor of Optometry who believes in the power of eyecare within the healthcare system, is tech-savvy, and people-focused, leading the industry in comprehensive eye care. The position is located in Sacramento, CA, opening in September 2023. The practice offers the benefits of being a Doctor without the hassle of running a business, as Visionworks handles insurance billing, credentialing, staff hiring & training, and administrative work. The practices provide comprehensive eye care, including routine exams, contact lens evaluations, and medical treatment for eye diseases, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. OD techs will assist with patient work-ups and contact lens teaching. Visionworks is a leading national eye care company that provides a support system for its doctors to manage a successful practice while focusing on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Practice full-time (or part-time) providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, and visual and medical conditions.
• Perform patient examinations.
• Recommend vision-enhancing solutions based on prescription findings.
• Handle eye emergencies.
• Collaborate with staff members to help deliver the commitment to improving access to healthcare.
