About The Position

Big City Optical is seeking a part-time Optometrist to assist with Saturday coverage or work on-call. As the fastest-growing private practice in the Chicagoland area, recently recognized as a 2023 Top 50 Optical Retailer by Vision Monday, we foster career growth and leverage industry expertise. This role offers access to advanced diagnostic technology, including digital exam lanes with meibography, topography, OCT, anterior segment photography, fundus photography, pachymetry, and VR visual fields, allowing for full-scope optometry practice. We emphasize the importance of annual eye exams for optimal vision and eye health, encouraging our Optometrists to educate patients on specialty services like dry eye treatment, myopia control, and surgical co-management. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment
• Provide comprehensive eye care (medical and routine) to patients of all ages
• Educate patients on their visual and medical conditions
• Make recommendations on vision and eye health enhancing solutions
• Work with a support team of professional technicians and opticians
• Complete electronic health records
• Work in a team-based environment
