About The Position

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist to work Part Time or Full-time (2-5 days per week) covering work sites across Flint/Saginaw, MI and the surrounding areas. A $10k Sign On Bonus is available at 5 days per week, prorated for part-time. This position offers competitive compensation with uncapped earning potential and a benefits package at full-time (most benefits start day 1 of employment). Mileage reimbursement, flexible scheduling with no evening or weekend hours required, clinical autonomy, and control over the pace of your day are also provided. You will have an established patient base with no patient quotas, 100% malpractice coverage, and a full administrative support team. Dedicated Regulatory Affairs and Compliance teams, all equipment/supplies provided including a laptop with a proprietary EMR system, and experienced leaders in place to drive and support clinical and corporate success are also part of this role. HealthDrive delivers on-site optometry, dentistry, podiatry, audiology, and behavioral health services to residents in long-term care, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Requirements

Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.)
State professional license
Valid driver’s license
TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate
Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.

Responsibilities

Provide general optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.
Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
