About The Position
DocStar Medical Partners is seeking an Optometrist for an outpatient facility in Maine. This is a 6-month preferred assignment starting on 7/6/2026 and ending on 1/8/2027. The role involves a 4x10 work schedule with an estimated patient volume of 16 patients per day. The clinic is well-equipped with two lanes, OCT, visual field, and iCare, and has excellent access to ophthalmology specialists for urgent cases.
Requirements
- Optometry
- Rural setting experience
- ME License
- DEA Certification
- BLS Certification
Responsibilities
- Conduct vision exams
- Diagnose impairments
- Prescribe glasses, contacts, medications, and therapeutic procedures
- Provide pre- and postoperative care
- Manage diabetics, cataracts, glaucoma, and broader pathology including potential pituitary adenoma
