About The Position

A well-established, multi-location optometric practice is seeking a motivated associate optometrist to join their dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity for career advancement, including the potential for future ownership of the practice—though an ownership interest is not required. The practice is known for delivering personalized, patient-centered care with a strong referral network of doctors, hospitals, and specialists. They offer comprehensive services including primary eye care, contact lenses, and ocular disease management, with a focus on pediatrics, vision therapy, and rehabilitation. They are open to expanding services and encourage candidates with an interest in sports vision, OrthoK, and specialty lens fits. The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including multiple refraction lanes, OCT, Visual Fields, OPTOS, or Maestro available at all locations. Associates will be supported by a dedicated team of front desk staff, pretesting technicians, optical support, and cross-trained vision therapists.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
• Valid state optometry license or in the process of obtaining one.

Nice To Haves

• Licensed in both NY and CT (for full-time consideration).
• Interest in sports vision, OrthoK, and specialty lens fits.
• Interest in practice ownership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized, patient-centered care.
• Provide comprehensive services including primary eye care, contact lenses, and ocular disease management.
• Focus on pediatrics, vision therapy, and rehabilitation.
• Expand services in areas such as sports vision, OrthoK, and specialty lens fits (for interested candidates).
• Utilize state-of-the-art technology such as OCT, Visual Fields, OPTOS, or Maestro.
• Educate patients.
• Conduct routine exams, emergency visits, and appointments for complex/new patients.
