Part-Time Optometrist | Outpatient Clinic Setting
About The Position
Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist to provide high-quality vision care within a structured, outpatient clinic-based environment in Wichita, Kansas. This role allows you to practice meaningful, mission-driven care without the administrative burden of running your own practice. You’ll serve as an integrated member of a coordinated clinical team supporting senior populations in a predictable, organized setting. This opportunity operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model designed for consistency and support, with full-time clinic staff on-site, organized scheduling and patient flow, a collaborative, team-based care environment, a value-based model focused on seniors, and all equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing handled by CMC. This is not a high-volume retail model. CMC optometrists are embedded within established clinic environments and represent our organization directly at each partner location. We prioritize quality over volume, predictable scheduling, strong administrative and logistical support, long-term clinic partnerships, and ethical, mission-driven care delivery.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
- Active Kansas optometry license
- Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic settings
Nice To Haves
- Experience with senior populations preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
- Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope
- Prescribe corrective lenses and provide treatment recommendations
- Partner with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
- Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient environment
