VisionMax Optometry in Porter Ranch, California, has an exciting part-time opening for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality eye care, building lasting patient relationships, and making a positive impact in the community. Since 2006, VisionMax Optometry has been a trusted resource for patients seeking personalized, comprehensive vision and eye health care. The practice is known for helping patients correct vision concerns, protect long-term eye health, and prevent future issues through services such as comprehensive eye exams, myopia management, emergency eye care, and co-management. With a strong foundation in the community and a continued focus on expanding its myopia management patient base, VisionMax Optometry offers the opportunity to practice in an established setting where clinical care, patient education, and long-term relationships are at the center of the patient experience.
Requirements
- Current California optometry license.
- Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D., including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure.
- 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties.
- For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFH)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFH), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary vision and eye health care in a patient-focused clinic.
- Care for patients ages one and older.
- Manage a wide range of vision and eye health needs.
- Perform at least one eight-hour shift every eight weeks.
- Conduct eight hours of patient-facing care.
- See up to 24 patients per day per OD.
