Medical Optometrist with OD/MD Practice
About The Position
Grand Rapids Ophthalmology, a member of the EyeCare Partners family of practices, is seeking an Optometrist in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Grand Rapids Ophthalmology is the leading comprehensive eye care group in the west Michigan market, practicing out of 13 locations and two surgery centers. The group consists of 12 Physicians and 20 Optometrists. As a member of the largest integrated eye care group in the United States, Grand Rapids Ophthalmology has enhanced its ability to provide the highest quality medical and surgical treatment for eye diseases. In 2023, the practice served over 800,000 patients. The role involves triaging all calls, with on-call duties for optometrists being 1 in 10 weekends. There is no hospital on-call responsibility as one physician covers all calls for the group. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, with no Saturday work. The practice utilizes NextGen EHR.
Requirements
- OD/MD Practice
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Ability to triage patient calls
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
