About The Position

Visionworks Doctors of Optometry - PC is seeking an experienced and state-licensed Optometrist to focus on leading and coaching quality of care and the patient experience in their new market in California. This role is for an experienced Doctor of Optometry who believes in the power of eyecare within the healthcare system, is tech-savvy, and people-focused. The opportunity will be located in Sacramento, CA, opening in September 2023. Sacramento offers great weather, affordability, and proximity to Tahoe, the Bay Area, and Wine Country. The role includes mentorship from Dr. Rupe Hansra. Visionworks Doctors of Optometry allows doctors to enjoy the benefits of being a Doctor without the hassle of running a business, as Visionworks handles insurance billing, credentialing, staff hiring & training, and administrative work. Their primary care practices focus on comprehensive eye care, including routine exams, contact lens evaluations, and medical treatment for eye diseases. All offices are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as Optos California, Topcon Digital Phoropters, Eyefinity EMR (on an iPad), and Henson 9000 Visual Field Analyzer. OD techs assist with patient work-ups and provide Contact Lens teaching. Visionworks is a leading national eye care company that combines healthcare and retail, providing PC doctors with an excellent support system to manage a successful practice while they focus on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Practice full-time (or part-time) providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, and visual and medical conditions.
• Perform patient examinations.
• Recommend vision-enhancing solutions based on prescription findings.
• Handle eye emergencies.
• Collaborate with staff members to help deliver the commitment to improving access to healthcare.
