About The Position
An exceptional opportunity awaits! A vibrant practice in Newport, Vermont, just a stone's throw from the stunning Canadian border, is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time or part-time Optometrist. This practice, with a rich history of serving the community for 27 years, prides itself on delivering outstanding patient care using cutting-edge technology. With a patient load of 18-20 individuals per day, you'll have the support of a skilled team of technicians who handle initial assessments, allowing you to focus on what you do best—providing exceptional eye care.
Requirements
- A valid state optometry license or one actively being obtained is required.
- 4th-year students are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing eye conditions.
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess visual acuity and eye health.
- Diagnose and manage eye diseases and conditions, such as glaucoma and cataracts.
- Provide patient education on eye health and proper vision care practices.
- Offer pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
- Prescribe medications for certain eye conditions and manage treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
