About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking a patient-focused and dynamic Part-Time Optometrist to join one of its affiliated independent optometry practices, located adjacent to a Warby Parker retail store. The Optometrist will practice under the clinical direction of the practice's supervising optometrist(s). The ideal candidate is a team player and strong communicator with a passion for delivering exceptional vision care in a collaborative environment, aiming to exceed patient expectations. Requirements

  • A Doctor of Optometry licensed in the state where you practice, in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality comprehensive eye exams and contact lens evaluations in line with established clinical protocols and standards of care.
  • Partner with the store team to create an exceptional patient experience and grow the eye exam business.
  • Prescribe eyewear, contacts, and eye health solutions tailored to each patient’s needs, and educate them on their options.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of vision conditions, including refractive error and ocular health assessments.
  • Share eye care knowledge with the team to help them confidently support patients.
  • Be a visible and engaged clinical presence to reinforce commitment to eye care, strengthen brand awareness around exams, and ensure a seamless, elevated patient experience.
  • Use modern digital exam lanes and EMR tools to streamline care and ensure precision, striving for an excellent patient experience.
  • Support key performance goals by delivering excellent clinical care.
  • Collaborate closely with the Store Leader to align on goals and strategies to build a strong OD + store team partnership.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient examinations and treatments in compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocols.
  • Maintain State Licensure in good standing and meet all Continuing Education/State requirements.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by educating and inspiring patients and team members, reinforcing leadership in eye care within the community.
  • Perform other tasks as needed to provide an exceptional patient experience.
