About The Position

At ICON Strategic Solutions, the Optometrist works in a sponsor-dedicated model supported by ICON’s global expertise. The role provides high-quality eye care services and supports clinical research related to vision health. The Optometrist conducts comprehensive eye exams, diagnoses visual conditions, and contributes to clinical studies intended to improve eye care treatments and therapies. The position is responsible for optometry deliverables, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice optometry in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience conducting eye exams and diagnosing a range of visual conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and research teams.
• Detail-oriented, with a commitment to high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Must have the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess vision health, diagnose visual impairments, and detect eye diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses or treatments based on individual patient needs and clinical study protocols.
• Collaborate with clinical research teams and provide expertise on vision-related aspects of clinical trials.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory and study requirements.
• Educate patients and participants on eye care practices, treatment options, and preventive measures for maintaining eye health.
• Take responsibility for optometry deliverables and help ensure quality and efficiency.
