About The Position

The IMA Group is seeking a licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to conduct independent eye examinations focused on vision loss and visual impairment for our disability line of business. Perform exams in your own private practice office using your existing equipment. This is a flexible, evaluation-only opportunity with no treatment, prescribing, follow-up care, or on-call responsibilities. The role involves conducting comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments, including visual acuity, visual field, automated perimetry, and related testing, as well as reviewing medical history and documentation to prepare objective, accurate medical reports. This position offers the benefit of using your own office, with no commute to another site, a light commitment of one day a month or 1-2 exams a week, and no treatment, prescribing, nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities. Malpractice coverage and paid training are provided, with productivity-based earning potential. This role offers meaningful work supporting individuals with disabilities, without the demands of traditional clinical practice.

Requirements

• OD, MD, or DO with an Ophthalmology specialty
• Active, unrestricted Texas license
• Private practice office with the required testing equipment
• Strong clinical and documentation skills
