  • Performing preliminary and any doctor requested tests
  • Assisting optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures
  • Coordinating patient scheduling and monitoring patient flow
  • Preparing exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies
  • Providing a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment
  • Standing for sustained periods of time
  • Stooping, Grasping, Lifting, Talking, Hearing
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular basis from floor to waist, 5 lbs. from waist to shoulder, and 5 lbs. from shoulder to overhead.
  • Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
  • Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.
  • Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
  • Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
  • Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
  • Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).
