About The Position

Panorama Eyecare is seeking an Optometric Technician to join their team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure a positive experience for patients, physicians, and the clinical team, aligning with Panorama Eyecare's mission. The Optometric Technician will assist in all aspects of the assigned patient care area, requiring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a friendly, self-motivated, reliable, organized, customer-service oriented, and team-player attitude. While experience in optometry is preferred, it is not required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office and in electronic health records is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience in optometry preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Patient intake and workup, following standardized protocol and utilizing electronic health records.
Assists Optometrists and patients with contact lens fittings.
Patient counseling and education as needed.
Monitor and manage patients’ eye and vision issues during and after a visit, as directed by Optometrist.
Aware of overall clinic flow, contributes to efficiency of clinic.
Updates daily schedule by assessing no-shows and add-ins.
Assists in retails aspects of the office including eyecare products and eyewear.
Helps with cleaning and stocking work areas including closing exam lanes and equipment at end of clinic.
Works within the confines of the team by assisting other departments with answers to questions, patient triage, etc.
Maintains a professional demeanor, including dress and work conversation.
Assists in resolution of patient complaints.
Maintains effective working relationships with other staff and optometrists.
Performs other assigned duties as directed.
