About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Optometric Technician to provide coverage for our busy practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to a temporary assignment
- Efficiency, effectiveness, and a solid attention to detail in patient care
- Punctuality with a stellar attendance record
- Reliable transportation is required
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-testing procedures and collect patient health histories
- Assist optometrists during eye exams and procedures
- Operate and maintain ophthalmic/optometric equipment
- Educate patients about eye care, contact lens use, and eyewear
- Manage patient flow and support daily office functions
- Ensure accuracy in patient records and documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
