Requirements
- Part and assembly modelling in Siemens NX (Creo, SolidWorks, or CATIA acceptable in place of NX, with ability to ramp on NX)
- 2D drawings with GD&T (ASME Y14.5); release-quality output
- Tolerance analysis at part and assembly level
- Fixture and tooling design for assembly, inspection, or test
- BOM management and change control in a PLM system (Teamcenter preferred; Windchill, Enovia, or Arena acceptable in place of Teamcenter)
- Working knowledge of machining, molding, and sheet metal DFM
Nice To Haves
- Opto-mechanical design: mounting and constraining optical components; low-stress and kinematic mounting
- Fixtures for optical assembly, alignment, or measurement (multi-axis adjustment, bonding, inspection)
- Precision mechanisms or high-tolerance assembly experience
