As an Options Installation Technician II, you will play a key role in ensuring machines are configured to customer specifications by installing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical options. How You'll Make an Impact As an Options Installation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring customer-ordered machine options are installed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Okuma quality standards.

Requirements

Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 to 5 years of manufacturing experience with a primary focus on electrical assembly, installation, or machine building
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, cranes, forklifts, and other assembly equipment.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to inspect work thoroughly, diagnose electrical or software-related issues, and understand hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Maintain annual OSHA safety certifications as required by job duties.

Responsibilities

Install electrical and mechanical options on Okuma-built machines to meet customer requirements and specifications.
Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support installation and assembly activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software systems.
Verify completed installations and perform quality checks to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
Utilize a variety of hand tools, precision measuring equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely and effectively.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to identify solutions and maintain project timelines.
Maintain a safe, organized work environment while adhering to all company policies and safety practices.
Perform additional duties as assigned and proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and add value.
