About The Position
The Options Installation Technician at Okuma America Corporation will be responsible for installing options on any Okuma built machine in order to meet customer requirements and specifications. Requirements
- Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
- 2-5 yrs. experience in Manufacturing with a primary focus on electrical assembly or installation
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage a range of responsibilities and competing priorities while working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Superb time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet regular and frequent deadlines
- Strong mechanical/ electrical skills
- Able to read electrical schematics and blueprints
- Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Proficient use of hand tools and variety of electrical and mechanical devices such as precision measuring equipment, cranes, fork lifts, etc.
- Basic use of PC tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to check ones work, verify electrical/software issues, understand hydraulic/pneumatic circuitry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as exceptional listening skills
- Exceptional ability to speak and write effectively in a business environment
- Exceptional ability to ask necessary questions
- Good Attitude, ability to work independently or with a team
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and willingness to adapt to change and take initiative
- Maintain annual OSHA safety certifications as required by job duties
