Optimizer Operator - 3rd Shift - Gratz Plant
About The Position
NEW OPPORTUNITY at MI Windows and Doors - Gratz Plant! Optimizer Operator - 3rd Shift Pay Rate - $22.65 plus $1.50 Shift Differential! Shift days/times - Sunday pm to Thursday pm (9pm to 5:30am). This role involves reading and understanding orders, including specifications for material, type, size of stock, and dimensions for cutting, punching, and assembly. The operator must be able to read a tape measure and work effectively in a group environment. Key responsibilities include obeying company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area, complying with all safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE, and inspecting work-in-process and finished units for quality compliance. The position requires understanding quality process sheets and actively participating in continued process improvements. Regular punctual attendance is essential. The operator must also be able to identify the correct glass types and variations. This position offers 40+ hours a week.
Requirements
- High school graduate or a GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Ability to maintain a fast pace with attention to detail and accuracy due to the repetitive nature of the work.
- Good math skills.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Excellent teamwork skills; develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
- Candidates must provide truthful and complete information regarding their eligibility to work in the U.S. and any current or future need for employment sponsorship.
