About The Position

This position will support Prescott's, Inc. and will be located onsite in Monument, CO. Are you a detail-oriented technician with a passion for precision and problem-solving? Join our team as an Optics Technician, where you'll play a critical role in restoring and optimizing surgical microscope performance. In this hands-on position, you'll analyze, troubleshoot, repair, and perform precision optical alignment of complex microscope components while ensuring every product meets the highest standards of quality, functionality, and regulatory compliance. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; job-specific training provided.
  • At least 1+ years of experience in a technical role is preferred.
  • Comfortable working with small parts, precision components, and specialized tools.
  • Computer proficiency, including data entry and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in the English language (grammar, spelling, composition, reading comprehension, and clear communication).
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Fine motor skills and manual dexterity required for precision optical repairs.
  • Strong visual acuity and attention to detail to inspect and evaluate the quality of optical components.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Manufacturing in a GMP medical manufacturing environment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and prioritizes optical orders based on customer needs and company requirements.
  • Communicates with Service Writers regarding order status, expected completion timelines, and alternative solutions when required.
  • Locates, evaluates, and determines the repair viability of optical components for order fulfillment.
  • Repairs, realigns, cleans, and prepares optical components using appropriate tools while meeting OEM quality standards.
  • Performs and maintains quality control, including inspecting completed work, completing QC documentation, and evaluating QC procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Provides technical support to customers and company representatives by phone.
  • Assist other technicians with service and repair as required.
