Optics Operator I (Multiple Positions)
About The Position
The Optics Operator I performs a variety of tasks within a manufacturing line team, including both repetitive and non-repetitive duties. This role involves operating general manufacturing equipment such as cutting machines, microscopes, comparators, and optical benches. The operator will also be responsible for setting up, adjusting parameters, and operating manufacturing machines and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Adherence to environmental policies and procedures, and support of departmental environmental objectives are also key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- High School diploma is required.
- Availability to work overtime, various work schedules including 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, and/or 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.
Responsibilities
- Operates different equipment ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations, procedures, and specifications for manufacturing, inspection, and verification of each unit.
- Ensures that manufacturing equipment undergoes preventive maintenance and calibrations as required.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area in accordance with FIFO, KANBAN, and the 5'S program, ensuring GMP compliance.
- Completes training as per the established training plan.
- Participates in team meetings, contributes to problem-solving, and assists with data analysis.
- Documents quantities of accepted and rejected units and materials in production orders.
- Completes forms that constitute the history of the order, verifying documentation accuracy to prevent discrepancies.
- Documents applicable line log information as per procedures.
- Completes production order transactions in the manufacturing system, including accepted/rejected units and materials, to ensure report accuracy.
- Completes the daily report of units produced by process in the manufacturing system.
- Completes the down-time log in the manufacturing system, detailing reasons for downtime to address output impacting situations.
