About The Position

This role supports the Manufacturing Assembly area under general supervision, following routine administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality. The position assists with the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery/equipment. It also involves monitoring and installing components of basic in-process products, assemblies, or sub-assemblies on the assembly line. The role focuses on building competency with routine machinery, ensuring precision in daily assembly production records for manufacturing performance analysis, and demonstrating Johnson & Johnson’s Leadership Imperatives and Credo. This is an individual contributor role that executes typically routine tasks and provides support for internal teams in the Manufacturing Assembly area. The operator will operate different equipment ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations, procedures, and specifications. They will also ensure equipment used for manufacturing has preventive maintenance and calibrations in compliance, maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with FIFO, KANBAN, and the 5'S program, and sanitize adequately to ensure GMP compliance.

Requirements

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Parenteral Manufacturing/Operations.
  • Minimum of an Associate's, Vocational, Technical/Trade, or equivalent degree/certificate required.
  • Proficiency in inventory control systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent).
  • Intermediate/general skills in computer systems such as process control systems, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), eBR, and/or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Requires proficiency in both English and Spanish (oral and written).
  • Requires ability and flexibility to work during 2nd and 3rd shift operational hours (12-hour shifts, ranging between 4:00PM to 4:30AM), and to provide support on other/irregular shifts, weekends, extended hours, and holidays.
  • Requires willingness and flexibility to be cross-trained and work in various functional areas (e.g., Packaging, Formulation, etc.).
  • Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, and/or 12 hours shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's/University degree or focused degree/certificate preferred in Industrial Mechanics, Biology, Microbiology, or related technical field(s).
  • Aseptic Techniques or related certification.

  • Assists with set up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery/equipment.
  • Helps monitor and install components of basic in-process products, assemblies, or sub-assemblies on the assembly line.
  • Builds competency with routine machinery.
  • Ensures precision of daily assembly production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis.
  • Demonstrates Johnson & Johnson’s Leadership Imperatives and Credo.
  • Operates different equipment ensuring that these comply with Good Manufacturing Practices regulations and procedures and specifications established to manufacture, inspect and verify each unit.
  • Ensures that the equipment used to manufacture have preventive maintenances and calibrations in compliance.
  • Maintains work area clean by sanitizing adequately, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Maintains work area organized in accordance with the following methods: FIFO, KANBAN, the 5'S program.
