About The Position

Performs a variety of tasks with the work team that makes up the manufacturing line. These include repetitive and non-repetitive tasks. Operates general manufacturing equipment such as cutting machines, microscopes, comparators, optical benches, among others. When necessary, operates, executes the "setup" and adjusts the parameters of the manufacturing machines / equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards of the manufacturing processes. Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma is required.
  • Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, and/or 12 hours shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.

Responsibilities

  • Operates different equipment ensuring that these comply with Good Manufacturing Practices regulations and procedures and specifications established to manufacture, inspect and verify each unit.
  • Ensures that the equipment used to manufacture have preventive maintenances and calibrations in compliance.
  • Maintains work area clean by sanitizing adequately, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Maintains work area organized in accordance with the following methods: FIFO, KANBAN, the 5'S program.
  • Responsible for training to the operations established in the training plan.
  • Participates in team meetings, contributes to problem solving and data analysis.
  • Documents in the production orders everything related to quantity of units and materials accepted/and rejected.
  • Completes the necessary forms which compose the history of the order, as applicable.
  • Verifies that all the documentation that appears in the production order is correct to avoid discrepancies between quantities and data.
  • Documents in the line logs applicable to the operation, as established by procedures.
  • Completes production order transactions in the manufacturing system, related to the number of units and materials accepted/rejected, to ensure veracity of the different reports.
  • Completes the daily report of the units produced by process in the manufacturing system.
  • Completes the down-time log in the manufacturing system, stating the reasons to ensure that situations that impact the output of units are worked on.
