Temple Faculty Physicians, the academic practice plan of Temple Health, is comprised of over 500 employed physicians who are central to clinical care and teaching within Temple's healthcare system. These physicians practice across 20 academic departments, covering nearly every subspecialty in modern medicine. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 2 years experience in a related role Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Fits patients with eyeglasses in the optical shop.
  • Administers, analyzes, and interprets prescriptions written by ophthalmologist or optometrist.
  • Takes eye measurements to ensure proper lens placement in eyeglass frame.
  • Verify accuracy of the finished product.
  • May manufacture lenses from raw materials and fit to frame.
  • Determine which eyeglasses are best suited to meet patient needs.
  • Handles inventory control.
  • Provide assistance with insurance re-imbursement.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and billing procedures.
